Mrs. Rita Lavelle Hinote,77, passed away Fri., DeC. 20, 2019, at her Brewton Residence.

Mrs. Hinote was born in New Orleans, LA, and had been a life-long resident of Brewton.  She was a member of the Flomaton High School Class of 1960.  She had worked as an LPN at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital prior to her retirement in 2012.  She loved to cook, and especially loved the Christmas season, making home crafts and ornaments.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lindsey Richard Chavers, and Edna Mae Johnson Chavers; three brothers, Billy Chavers, W.C. Chavers, and Frank Earl Chavers; and one sister, Marie Chavers.

She is survived by two sons, Randy (Michelle) Hinote of Century, FL, and Greg (Kelley) Hinote of Flomaton, Ala.; one daughter, Jackie (Sonny) Evans of Brewton; a special niece, Lisa Booker; and a special sister-in-law, Kat Chavers; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service were held on Mon., Dec. 23, 2019 at 11AM at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Seventy Tommy Jernigan and Seventy Sharon Jernigan officiating. Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
