Mr. Herbie Eugene Evans, 59, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at his Brewton residence.

Mr. Evans was a native and life-long resident of Brewton.  He worked as a derrick hand on an oil rig for many years, and owned and operated Evans Tree Service. He was of the Christian faith.  Mr. Evans was the youngest of four boys.  He loved his children dearly and was a superhero to them, and was loved by all his family and friends.

Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents, James & Bobbie Evans; two brothers, Kenneth Evans, Ronnie Evans.

He is survived by two sons, Bradley James Evans of Brewton, William Herbie “Will” (Kristin) Evans of Brewton; two daughters, Andrea (Jason) Cook of Brewton, Ashley (Kenny) McDonald of Castleberry; one brother, Ray (Nancy) Evans of Flomaton; eight grandchildren, Lanetta McDonald, Valerie McDonald, Kyil McDonald, Emmalee Evans, Jakob McDonald, Harmony Cook, Serenity Cook, and Sophia Evans; a niece, Katina (Martine) Follett; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Sat., Dec. 28, 2019, at 10AM from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Hammac officiating.

Interment followed in Hanberry Cemetery under the direction of Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton.

A time of visitation was  held at Craver’s Funeral Home on Sat., Dec. 28, 2019,  from 9AM until service time at 10AM.

Pallbearers were Larry Gulsby, James Gulsby, Kyil McDonald, Derek Raines, Johnny Lambeth, and Mitchel Fells.
