Mr. Walter Barrett “Jr.” Travis, Jr., 81, passed away Thur., Dec. 26, 2019, at his Brewton residence.

Mr. Travis was a life-long resident of the Brewton area.  He was a member of the W.S. Neal High School Class of 1957, and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  He worked as a mechanic for Exxon for over 26 years. He was a member of the Travis Road Hunting Club and was of the Methodist faith.  Mr. Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Barrett Travis, Sr. and Nellie Massengale Travis; two brothers, Howard Travis and Bobby Travis.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Linda Capps Travis of Brewton, Ala.; one son, Shannon (Karin) Travis of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Debbie Mitchell of Brewton; one sister, Louise Stone of Damascus, Ala.; one grandchild, Aubrie Travis.

Graveside services were held on Sun., Dec. 29, 2019,  at 10AM  at Travis Cemetery with Bro. Billy Ray Singleton officiating.

All services were under the direction of Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton.
