Gloria Carmelita Ratcliff Robbins, 89, formerly of Brewton, Ala., passed from this life and entered into glory on Sun., Jan. 12, 2020, in San Antonio, Tx.

Gloria was born on Jan. 4, 1931, in Fairfax, Alabama. She graduated from Henry G Cliff High School in Opelika, Ala., before attending and graduating from business school.

She was gifted with musical talent which included playing the piano and singing. She began singing publicly at the age of four. Her gift of singing stayed with her throughout her life as she sang at many weddings, funerals, with church choirs and at other events throughout Ala.

Gloria worked a number of years as a secretary before going into insurance and real estate. She faithfully served on several different church boards and committees throughout her life. She loved reading, fishing, traveling, and spending time with family.

Gloria is survived by her children Teresa Robbins Glover and her husband, Bobby of Troy, Ala., Stephen Aubrey Robbins, Sr. and his wife, Dr. Claudia Robbins, of San Antonio, Tx., and Reverend Mary Kathryn Robbins, of Woodsboro, Tx.; her grandchildren, Adam Robbins Glover and his wife, Kathlene, Leslie Danielle Glover and Clint Walker, Levi Taylor Haag and his wife, Julie, William Conrad Haag, Russell Allan Haag, Stephen Aubrey Robbins Jr.; two great-grand-daughters Leah Haag, and Ryleigh Glover; and her loving sister, Mary Ratcliff Pfrimmer, of Birmingham, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Wynard Taylor Robbins, a daughter, little baby Robbins, her loving parents Stephen Edgar and Marguerite Druary Ratcliff, her brothers-in-law William Earnest Robbins and John Gray Pfrimmer Sr.

A visitation time will begin at 1PM on Sat., Jan. 18, 2020, at Williams Memorial Chapel in Brewton, Ala. The funeral service will begin at 2PM and the burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Brewton, Ala.  The Rev. Dr. Dick Druary of Houston, Tx., will officiate.
