Brewton City Schools renewed Brewton Middle School Principals contract at the board meeting on Mon.

During the personnel action of the meeting, Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Varner sought to renew Cave’s contract.

“Mrs. Madelyn Cave is completing her three contract with the school we need to renew it for another 3 years,” Varner said.

With high schools from the evaluations conduct earlier this year, Varner was pleased to make the recommendation.

“I couldn’t say enough positive things about her. I am pleased that she be renewed as Brewton Middle School principal.

The board approved the recommendation.

Other actions taken by the board included the agreement for Avizo for the Annual Audits of School finances, approval of a fieldhouse carpet bid, and approval of a grievance appeal received in Jan. The board approved all actions.

Before closing the meeting, Varner updated the board on the closure of the school. Students are to return April 6 as of right now.
