Banking has joined many other businesses in going to drive-thru only services. But, that doesn’t mean you still can’t do business with your local bank.
Brewton Mill Federal Credit Union on South Boulevard is still taking care of their customers and their needs by taking extra steps for safety.
“People who are looking for loans can still receive service,” said Linda Williamson, president at BMFCU. “We are still getting loan requests and we are making appointments for those people who need that kind of service.”
In order to maintain safety, Williamson said staff at the bank are making every effort to complete paper work for loans and other services prior to customer arrival.
“We are trying to get as much information as possible over the phone from the customer,” Williamson said. “We are doing that so that we can have everything ready for them so they don’t have to come into the building to complete the process. Doing that allows us to be able to have the customer sign papers at the drive through.”
Williamson did say the business has slowed a little over the past several days.
“We are still working,” Williamson said. “We will continue to be here to serve the needs of our members.”
