The Best Western Brewton Inn opened April 1.“We are open for business and we are here to stay,” said Raj Parmer.

Purchased in 2016 by Sapphire Hospitality, LLC, the hotel is now newly renovated and open to the general public.

“We had our first guests yesterday. We put the open sign up, and we had someone pull in,” said General Manager Leslie Howington.

Passing all criteria to open, the hotel is now accepting reservations online and on site.

The “midscale boutique” hotel includes 83 guest rooms, with 5 two-room suites. The hotel features a large event space that can accommodate up to 150 people. At the pet-friendly hotel, guests can enjoy many amenities including a large modern fitness center, an outdoor pool, a complimentary breakfast buffet, a 24-hour coffee station, high-speed Wi-Fi, a 24-hour business center, and a car charging center.

“My first thought when you walk in is this is really glamorous. There is a certain warmth here that is intangible. You don’t even know where it came from, but you walk in and you feel like you have been hugged,” said Howington. Throughout the interior, guests are introduced to highlights of Brewton through the photographs on the walls in the lobbies and guest rooms. “We wanted to add something local,” said Parmer.

Amid the Coronavirus crisis, hotels have been deemed essential services. During this time, the Inn is taking extra precautions to protect guests. “Right now, access to all public spaces is suspended. The swimming pool, breakfast buffet, fitness room, guest laundry room, and conference room will be closed until further notice, “said Parmer. To accommodate guests, the hotel is providing “grab and go” bags filled with complimentary breakfast items. “We understand it is not the best time to open, but we are optimistic for the future,” said Parmer.

Currently, the facility employs 16 individuals and anticipates more in the coming months. “We have a wonderful staff. We are very excited,” said Parmer. “I feel like we got the cream of the crop and we are open 24 hours, we are staffed 24 hours,” added Howington.
