Brewton Elementary School will be registering kindergarten students for the 2020-2021 school year on May 6 – May 14.
Registration packets can be found at the school office beginning Wed. May 6. Forms can also be accessed from the Brewton City Schools website at https://www.brewtoncityschools.org/domain/26.
In order to be registered for kindergarten, a child must be five years old on or before Sept. 1. 2020. Copies of the following documents will be needed to register.
1. A certified birth certificate, verifying that the child was born on or before Sept. 1, 2015 is required.
2. The child’s social security card. Make sure that it has the same legal name as on the birth certificate.
3. Alabama immunization certificate. This will verify that a child has been given all required immunizations. Contact the Escamabia County Health Department or a child’s physician to make an appointment if the child does not have the required immunizations.
4. Proof of Residency. This is required to verify that the child lives within the Brewton City limits. Any person who is not able to provide proof of residency will be considered out-of-district. Proof of Residency can be:
Lease agreement from a local certified realtor
Public utility bill
Receipt or deposit form a public utility for a permanent residency.
If any parent or guardian cannot attend the times listed call Brewton Elementary School at 867-8410. The office hours are 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Mon. -Thurs. Direct all questions to the same office.
