BREWTON, ALA.
Mrs. Clarisse Ann Barnes Hillman, 74, of Brewton, Ala., passed away on Monday, Apr. 27, 2020, at her home.
Mrs. Hillman was a native of Bay Minette, Ala., and a member of the Brewton community for 64 years coming from New Mexico. She was a devoted grandmother to Ashley, Lyle, and Jack. Mrs. Hillman was an accomplished cook, seamstress, animal lover and advocate, and a big Auburn Fan. She was known in her neighborhood for distributing the Mobile Press Register and Montgomery Advertiser.
Mrs. Hillman was a member of East Brewton First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father, Burns Travis; mother, Maybelle Barnes; brother, W.T. Barnes and husband, Scott Hillman, Sr.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Elizabeth Bataglia-Hillman) Hillman, Jr. of Brewton, Ala.; daughter, Windy Hillman and Tim Wilson of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Frank ‘Bubba’ (Barbara) Barnes of Brewton; sister-in-law, Shirley Barnes of Brewton; grandchildren, Ashley Hillman, Lyle Hillman and Jack Hillman-Wilson.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, Apr. 30, 2020, at 10AM at the Union Cemetery in Brewton, Ala. under the direction of Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton, Ala.
