Sharing is caring at Domino’s Pizza. In an effort to give back to the community, Domino’s of Brewton hosted 3 free pizza giveaways over the past few weeks.
“We wanted to donate some pizzas to the community just to try to help out,” said General Manager Rodger Anderson
Hosting a special event on Thurs., the store partnered with Brewton Strong to offer 100 free 1-topping pizzas to the community.
“I had originally put a post online looking to donate to the community and they contacted me. They put some money in, and we are donating on top of it,” said Anderson.
Announced April 6, Domino’s corporation agreed to give away 10 million slices of pizza nationwide to those most affected by the pandemic. All 6,126 stores across the country are currently participating in the effort, including the new location in town.
“We have pretty much done this every week. I think this is our 3rd time doing it.
We started at 50 and now we’re up to 100,” said Anderson.
Anderson noted the community has enjoyed the free giveaways. “It has been really good. Usually they are gone really quickly. It is a pretty big response. We started at 4 and we had a line out the door,” said Anderson.
Along with serving the community, the restaurant is devoted to the health and safety of its employees and customers during this time. Anderson shared, “We are all wearing masks, and we are sanitizing every hour. All of our deliveries are contactless now. We’re offering curbside pick up. We’re being pretty safe about it.”

A Brewton Strong donations box was available for customers to make donations to help the community.
