BREWTON, ALA.
Mr. George H. Bolling, 64, of Brewton, Ala., (formerly of McKenzie, Ala) passed away May 14, 2010 in an acute care facility in Pensacola, Fla., after an extended illness.
George served his country in the early 70’s joining the 101st Airborne division and in later years the Air National Guard, retiring after almost 30 years of service. He was also a member of the Forestry Commission, retiring from there for health reasons. He received numerous awards from the military and the Alabama Forestry Commission. He enjoyed working on his corvette, and hunting turkeys and fishing with his brother and dad. He liked to get together with his military buddies. He was a wonderful husband, daddy and granddaddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Lela Bolling.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Robin Bolling; a daughter, Kristi Bolling; grandchildren, Jaiden, Halee, Kamden, Jamisha, and Maritza; a great-grandchild, Braiden; his brother, Butch (Kathy) Bolling; his sister-in-laws, JoAnn (Richard) Robinson, Louise Lawless; his brother-in-laws, Steve (Leslie) O’Ferrell; Jr. (Stacey) O’Farrell; nieces & nephews, Kerri Hines, Wayne Bolling, and Lucas Robinson; several great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were held at New Home Cemetery in McKenzie, Ala. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 2PM with military friends Tom Wesson and Tom Newton officiating.
A time of visitation was held at the cemetery on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 1PM until service time at 2PM.
