BREWTON, ALA.
Mr. RJ Bush, Jr., 74 of Brewton, Ala., passed away Friday, May 15, 2020, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala. Mr. Bush was of the Baptist Faith, a 1963 graduate of Flomaton High School and served in the U.S. National Guard. He was Co owner and operator of Bush Home Builders for 50 years with his brother Johnny. He was an avid Auburn fan.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Reid Bush of Brewton; three sons, Michael (Billie Jo) Bush of Brewton, David Bush of Brewton and Greg (Jessica) Bush of Flomaton, Ala.; two brothers, Jimmie (JoAnn) Bush of Flomaton and Johnny Bush of Cantonment, Fla.; four sisters,Linda Jackson of Brewton, Margie (Jack) Valenty of Cantonment, Fla., Elaine (Joe Max) Linzy of Jay, Fla. and Lanell (Randall) Parks of Daphne, Ala.; five grandchildren, Casidee Bush, Kylie (Tyler) Covin, Kathlynn Bush, Lane Bush and Logan Bush; one great grandchild, Morrison Covin; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, RJ, Sr. and Vader Jones Bush; a brother, Joseph Michael Bush.
Visitation was held Sunday, May 17, 2020, from 2PM until 3PM at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton.
Funeral services were scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2020, at 3PM at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Edwards and Rev. David Dykes officiating.
Interment followed in Green Acres Cemetery Brewton, Ala., with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
Pallbearers were Michael Bush, David Bush, Gregg Bush, Chip Reid, Frank Reid, Johnny Bush, Jo Max Linzy and Marc Bush.
Honorary Pallbearers were Wayne Purnell, Gene Coleman, Bobby Coleman and Mark Drawhorn.
