A Brewton man passed away following a crash on Highway 29 south of Century on Sun.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a sport utility vehicle was traveling north in the outside lane on US-29, north of Roach Rd.
The second vehicle, driven by the Brewton man was traveling south in the outside lane on US-29, north of Roach Rd.
After losing control, driver of the first vehicle “failed to maintain control of V01 crossing the grass median into oncoming traffic.”
The car collided with the other vehicle and a 67-year-old man was pronounced deceased on the scene. The 62-year-old female passenger received serious injuries and was transported to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola via ambulance.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
According to the report, the incident occurred at 5:22 p.m.
