The body of an Arkansas man with Brewton ties was found in his truck early Sunday morning after a search that spanned three days was unsuccessful.

Marty D. Kent, 54, went missing from a Gulf Shores condo Thursday evening where he was vacationing with family members.
According to Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department public information officer Antony Lowery, Kent’s body was found after a deputy spotted the truck identified in the missing person’s report out of Gulf Shores.
“At 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, a deputy was doing a close area patrol at the Marathon gas station in Bay Minette near I-65,” Lowery said. “The officer identified the F150 truck and later found Kent deceased in the back seat of the truck.”
In reports made on Facebook by family and friends of Kent, the Brewton native was suffering from a terminal illness and was known to become confused without his medication.
During the time of his disappearance, Gulf Shores Police say Kent’s truck was spotted late Thursday evening in the Loxley area. No details on the cause of death have been made available.
Kent, who spent many years of his youth in the East Brewton community, was a resident of Sheridan, Arkansas at the time of his death. No details on services for Kent were available as of press time.
