JAY, FLA.
Mr. Donald “Lefty” Benjamin Boutwell age 80 of Escambia Avenue Jay, Florida passed away Sunday June 7, 2020 in a Pensacola, Florida Hospice after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Jay, Fla. Mr. Boutwell was a member of the Jay United Methodist Church, a 1957 graduate of Jay High School and owned/operated Boutwell Feed and Seed. He enjoyed farming, raising horses and cows.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Fore Boutwell; his son, Donnie (Pam) Boutwell; his daughter, Kelly (Ricky Godwin) Boutwell all of Jay, Fla.; his brother, Roger (Debbie) Boutwell of Atmore. Ala.; his sister, Deborah (Larry) Patton of Columbia, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Blake (Mary Laura) Boutwell, Kaitlin (Josh) Marshall, Mallory (Clayton) Booker, Max Whitman and Miles Whitman; two great grandchildren, Jasper Marshall and Benjamin Luke Boutwell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Desmond and Vera Campbell Boutwell.
A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2020, from 6PM until 8PM at the Cornerstone Christian Church in Jay, Fla.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 2PM at the Cornerstone Christian Church with the Rev. Bobby Carnley, the Rev. Cecil Jackson, and the Rev. Fredrick Barrow officiating.
Interment will follow in Jay Cemetery in Jay, Fla., with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton, Ala., directing.
