Many renovations have taken place in the sports department of T.R. Miller High School.
From the field house to the girls’ weight room, the area has received a facelift during the extended time students were away.
“With regards to renovations, we’ve done some substantial renovations in the girls’ weight room at the high school,” said Varner at the board meeting Mon. night.
“We’ve done new LED lighting throughout the weight room. We’ve done an entire paint job, including the flooring in areas that needed the flooring addressed. We’ve put new toilet fixtures in the restroom areas and really got the girls locker room looking better. There are still some needs with regard to weight equipment,” he shared.
At the field house, the paint and carpet was updated. “We also did new paint and carpet in the field house. The paint and carpet there was original, and it was time it was due. So, we were able to paint and re-carpet the field house,” said Varner.
Other renovations throughout the school system have recently taken place. Included in the list is Brewton Elementary School and the Maintenance shop. As work continues, the school system expects to welcome students back to the newly renovated spaces throughout all the campuses.
