In 1948, she married the love of her life, Henry Stephens Hill, and they were blessed with 65 years together until his death in 2013.

In 1950, they moved to Brewton, Alabama and opened Hill’s Jewelry.  She was the bookkeeper and helped her husband run the business.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and their spouses as well as her husband.  She is survived by daughters Pam (Jerry) Jones and Brenda (Bob) Sinners, three grandchildren, Emily Jones (Stephen) Gentry, Whitt Jones, and Alex Sinners, two great grandsons, Braden Gentry and Hudson Jones, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery on Saturday, June 20 at 1:00pm, and officiated by Rev. Mike Roberts.  A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

The family would like to thank the people and pastors of First United Methodist Church in Brewton where they were active members for over 70 years, First United Methodist Church in Clanton, Alabama, who welcomed and loved her for the last four years, her wonderful caregivers, and Southern Care Hospice, particularly her nurse, Rachel Kiefer, for all the care and support they provided.
