Appleton VFD to test fire hydrants on Saturday

Appleton Volunteer Fire Department will test fire hydrants this weekend. “Most of my staff will have on Appleton Volunteer t-shirts so don’t be alarmed,” said Safety Officer Jenny Kyler.
The testing will take place on Saturday, July 11 and again on Saturday, July 25. “We will be testing fire hydrants in the area. We normally start in North Appleton,” said Kyler.
The area spans across the communities of McGougin, Appleton, and Lowery Landing. The testing is a completely routine. The process will start at 8 a.m. and end time TBD. Individuals living within the communities surrounding the department can expect their water to be cut off for a short period of time on Saturday.
