From the desk of Coach Andro Williams, Athletic Director/Head Football Coach:
“We want to inform every-one that an athlete has tested positive for COVID-19. We are following the mandates from ADPH and AHSAA. As a precau-tion, we have suspended workouts inside the weight room for this week. We will continue practice on the football field tomorrow and off the remainder of the week as planned. We want to reassure parents the safety and health of our student athletes and staff is of the upmost importance. Our player is symptom free and doing well at this time. Any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.”
The Alabama High School Athletic Association will meet today regarding fall sports.
The central board of con-trol is set to approve a best practices plan for the fall 2020 season. At the time of press, the official fall practices are set to start July 27. The first games are scheduled for Aug. 20 and Aug. 21.
