Tindell named editor

Lisa Tindell has been named editor of The Brewton Standard, Brewton: The Magazine and associated digital products.

Tindell is a familiar face to many who read The Brewton Standard having worked with the local paper as news editor and sales manager previously. She was most recently employed as the executive director for the Escambia County Habitat for Humanity.

Tindell has more than 25 years experience in newspaper work having served as a reporter for The Atmore Advance and The Brewton Standard. She also served as a contributing editor to Alabama Living magazine covering news of Southern Pine Electric Cooperative.

A Brewton native, she is a graduate of W.S. Neal High School in East Brewton and received certification in adult education from Auburn University. She is married and has one son and lives in Brewton.

“I am excited to return to work that I love,” Tindell said. “I look forward to rekindling relationships with community leaders. I look forward to serving the community by providing fair coverage of news and events that make this town my home.”
