For what has become an annual event, Brewton’s Cold Moon Festival is moving to a new location.

Typically held at Jennings Park near downtown Brewton, the event will be staged at Dogwood Hills on north Douglas Avenue to allow for more spectators.

Connie Baggett, director of program management for the City of Brewton, said the new location will allow better access for spectators in a new drive-up format.

“There is some construction going on near Market Park,” Baggett said. “The parking area would have been limited, so we decided to move to Dogwood Hills.”

Baggett said the outdoor event will be held using the same, safe social distancing procedures as seen at similar events held at the downtown Brewton park.

“We are asking that people say at their vehicles,” Baggett said for previous drive-up concerts. “We are asking that everyone observe social distancing during the concert.”

Featured artists for the event include Grayson Capps, Willie C. Capps and Will Kimbrough, and Corky Hughes.

For those looking for refreshments to enjoy during the concert, The Main Event will be open and offering a variety of options for concessions.

The evening will begin with the performance at 6 p.m.
