The Appleton Volunteer Fire Department will host the annual Appleton Community Christmas parade this Saturday, Dec. 19 beginning at 10 a.m.

The parade starting point will be at the APVFD Firehouse at the intersection of Appleton Road and Mason Mill Pond Road. The route, which is approximately four miles long, will carry the parade through the community ending at the intersection of Tippens Eddy Road and Appleton Road.

Deadline for float or unit entry has passed with dozens of entries planning to participate in the annual event.

Assistant Fire Chief Steve Singleton said the goal of the event is to offer a safe time of fun for the community in a safe way.
“Although we will be outdoors, we ask that you continue to observe social distancing guidelines as outline by CDC and ADPH,” Singleton said. ” Also, if you park along the route, please be respectful of private property, and don’t park vehicles blocking private driveways.”
