As vaccines against COVID-19 continue to become widely available in Escambia County, the confirmed numbers of COVID-19 cases in the county continue to slow.

According to data released by the Escambia County Healthcare Authority, only two new cases have been confirmed in the county this week. The most recent data released shows that both confirmed cases came from specimens tested at Atmore Community Hospital since Tuesday. No new cases were reported from specimens tested at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton.

The latest data shows that there have been 622 confirmed cases from tests administered at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital . At Atmore Community Hospital, the confirmed number of cases is set at 955.

To date, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county stands 3,833.
