ADPH to host walk-in vaccine clinic in Brewton

Brewton area residents will have an opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccination during a special walk-in clinic on Monday, May 3. The event, hosted as part of the Alabama Department of Public Health’s plan to make the vaccine available to state residents, will be a one-day-only event.

County health departments across the southwest portion of the state will be offering free walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations without appointments. Appointments are still available for eligible individuals and may be made by visiting https://alcovidvaccine.gov/.

The Moderna vaccine will be given to people age 18 and older.

In Brewton, the clinic will be held at the Escambia County Health Department at 1115 Azalea Place from 1 to 3 p.m. only. The location is adjacent to the D.W. McMillan Medical Center just off Belleville Avenue.

A second location in the county will be open for walk-in vaccines at 8600 Hwy. 31 North in Atmore. the time for that clinic is set from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3 only.
