Regardless of discouraging weather forecasts for the coming weekend, directors and staff of the Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce are moving forward with plans for the Blueberry Festival.
Mallory Stanley Hendrix, president of the hosting organization, said the event is still going to happen — regardless of the discouraging weather forecasts.
“Rain or shine, the festival will go on,” Hendrix said Thursday afternoon.
The countdown to the 40th Alabama Blueberry Festival continues with workers busy preparing for the big day this Saturday.
