The threat of heavy rains for the area is still the main threat expected from the potential Tropical Cyclone #3 now churning in the Gulf of Mexico, according to information from the Escambia County Management Agency Director David Adams.

“It still appears that the greatest threat to Escambia County is heavy rainfall and possible flash flooding,” Adams said. ” Small creeks and streams may experience short term flooding as well.  Moderate or severe flooding is not currently forecast by the Southeast River Forecast Center, but this can change as the system develops.”

The images below will provide additional information that area residents need to be aware of ahead of the storm’s approach to the coast and inland in coming hours.
