EC Historial Society to host first post-COVID meeting

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic halted or slowed public activity, the Escambia County Historial Society will be holding a public meetings.

Don Sales, president of the organization, said this meeting will be hosted at the Thomas McMillan Museum on the campus of Coastal Alabama Community College in Alco.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 27 beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker for the meeting will be Karen Shaver, a former translator for the Andrew Jackson Hermitage in Nashville, Tenn.

Anyone interested in the historical aspects of the area is invited to attend.
