DWMM Hospital changes visitation policy

A Tuesday morning announcement by officials with D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital is restricting visitation and accompanying patients to the facility.

According to released information, the changes went into effect Tuesday and will continue until further notice.

The notice read: “Due to the continued increase of COVID rates and for the safety of patients and staff, as of 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, no one will be allowed to accompany patients for outpatient services including emergency department visits unless there is a medical need (ex. Parent may accompany minor child). Inpatient visitation to non-COVID Patients will be limited to 1 approved caregiver as necessary. For COVID Positive patients no visitors will be allowed.”
