Two local students received scholarships to continue their education following their graduation this spring.

The scholarship awards were part of the annual Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet Tuesday night.

Receiving the Phillip Ellis Excellence in Achievement Scholarship with W.S. Neal High School Senior Alonna Bedsole.

Jackson Sullivan, a senior at T.R. Miller High School received the Donnie Rotch Excellence in Achievement scholarship.

W.S. Neal High School Principal Todd Williamson and T.R. Miller High School Principal Chuck Alford were on hand as the students were named and honored.
