Atmore will host its annual spring festival this Saturday at Tom Byrne Memorial Park off Medical Park Drive.

The 48th Annual Mayfest event will ick off with a Miss Mayfest pageant held on Friday at Escambia County High School Auditorium.

Saturday’s event in the park will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue throughout the day offering fun, food and plenty of entertainment for festival goers.

The popular “Beautiful Baby” contest is making its return this year and will be held at the main gazebo in the park for babies and toddlers from 3 months through 3 years.

A Mayfest Softball tournament will also be on tap for the day and is open to all players — men and women — ages 18 and old.
