Even though sales and rental of power equipment has been going on for a couple of months, a special Grand Opening event for Creamer Power Equipment was held on Monday — much to the delight of hundreds of visitors, gusts and vendors.
“We opened the first of the year,” Creamer said. “We have eight employees right now.”
That number may grow in the future as business grows, but visitors to the retail location will certainly be greeted with a smile.
Susan Callahan, manager of the local power equipment showroom, said they are happy to serve the community with lots to offer.
“We can certainly offer friendly service,” Callahan said. “We have a good selection of power equipment ready to go. We are continuing to build our inventory based on our customers’ requests.”
Currently, customers will find a wide variety of products in all sizes to fit small jobs up to the largest job in the area. Brands such as Massey Ferguson — which Creamer says is their main line of products, Gravely, Spartan and Ariens lawn mowers, Rhino implements, Titan and Stihl power equipment and others.
“We also have rental equipment,” Creamer said. “We have excavators, dozers, skid towers, air compressors, pumps and a man lift for rent.”
Creamer also said they are happy to offer service on a wide variety of equipment.
“We will service what we sell,” Creamer said. “But we also offer service on other brands, too.”
Callahan said the service isn’t just about labor on repairs.
“We do service any brand of power equipment,” Callahan said. “We also have many parts in stock for service needs and we can order what we don’t have on hand.”
In addition to offering a wide variety of products and services, for those making that big purchase, Creamer Power Equipment also has financing selections in place.
“We do have multiple financing options for purchases,” Callahan said. “We will work to help find the best financing for our customers.”
The store, located at 1291 South Boulevard, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. during summer season.
“We want to be here when people need us,” Callahan said. “We will be open on Saturday’s during the summer season to help our customers.”
Steve Creamer is the owner of other businesses serving the Brewton area including Creamer Dozer Service.
In March, Creamer was recognized as Citizen of the Year by the Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce during the organization’s annual meeting.
