Brewton City and Escambia County Schools rang their bells Monday morning to welcome back students for the first day of the 2022-23 school year.
T.R. Miller High School, Brewton Middle and Elementary Schools all began their day with students arriving around the 8 a.m. time.
Students at W.S. Neal Elementary, Middle and High Schools all started their day around 7:30 a.m. on Monday.
Throughout the community, students have already been active in extracurricular activities including many sports, band and cheerleading. Additional activities will now begin in earnest since the school year has officially begun.
The first holiday for the students will come in just a few weeks as all schools will be out for the Labor Day holiday on Sept. 5.
