The Brewton office of Amedisys was recently honored for being named in the top 5 percent of Home Health Premier Performers across the country.
Amedisys offices in Carrollton, Citronell and Jasper, also earned the distinction as well.
The distinction was awarded following patient servey star ratings as published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on Care. The results are based on patient experience of care measures and are released quarterly from the Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems.
The local group of nurses and staff, gathered recently to celebrate earning the distinction of providing premier care for their patients.
Other Alabama Amedisys locations earning the Hospice Premier Performance award were offices in Florence and Hamilton.
“We are happy to announced that 109 of our home health and hospice care centers have been recognized as 2021 SHPBest winners for achieving the highest overall HHCAHPS patient satisfaction or CAHPS Hospice caregiveer satisfaction scores from all eligible clients during the 2021 calendar year,” Amedisys officials said. “This includes 18 care centers awarded Premier Performer ranking in the top 5 percent and 91 care centers awarded Superior Performer ranking in the top 20 percent.”
Patient survey star ratings measure care of patients; communications between providers and patients; specific care issues; and overall rating of care provided by the home health agency.
