Mr. Joshua Dakota Owens, age 27, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at his home in Excel, Ala.
Mr. Owens was born in Monroe County where he remained a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of W.S. Neal High School in East Brewton, a member of the Excel Fire Department and a member of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, Aubrey Jordan; his grandmother, Sandra Diane Owens; and an aunt, Melissa Jordan Harrison.
Survivors include: his father, Ralph (Tammy) Owens, Jr.; his mother, Jennifer Jordan; his grandfather, Ralph Owens, Sr.; his grandmother, Alma Jordan; three sisters, Brittany Parker, Amanda Gibson and Niki Aldridge; and three uncles, Rathan Owens, Keith (Geraldine) Bailey and Keith Jordan.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Kaige Sirmon officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Chapel Cemetery with Fire Department Honors. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until funeral time at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home.
