An Atmore native has returned to his home state to take on the duties of Communication’s Director for Representative Barry Moore.

Rep. Barry Moore released a statement on Monday after hiring Benjamin Martin as Communications Director.

Martin, a native of Atmore, Alabama, previously worked in the Texas State Senate before making his way to Washington where he served as Press Secretary for Rep. Robert Aderholt of Alabama.

“I’m proud to have Ben on our team,” Rep. Moore said. “He is a native of our district who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to serving the people of Alabama. His experience and background will ensure a seamless transition as he takes on these new responsibilities.”

“Ben has been such a great addition to our office since he started with us last year and we hate to lose him,” said Rep. Aderholt. “But it’s the reasons we hate to lose him that I know made Congressman Moore want to hire him and he could not have made a better choice. Ben will be working for a great member of Congress and best of all, he will get to see his grandma down in Atmore a lot more often. Best wishes Ben.”
