The Escambia County School Board held a special meeting on Monday to handle some business for the system.

Only two items were on the agenda with both requiring a vote of the board to move forward.

The board voted to approve the payment of $28,916.61 to improve network equipment for the system. KAM Technologies was awarded the bid for network switches throughout the system. The local payment is a portion of the $144,583.03 erate project cost.
