Young artists across the community have been hard at work preparing their work for the annual displays presented by the Brewton Council of the Arts.
The displays were put into place last week at the Brewton Public Library and Brewton Area YMCA.
Stephanie Walker, one of the officers for the BCA, said the displays are open for viewing.
“We have students from 13 area schools participating this year,” Walker said.
Walker said those students’ work includes two-deminsional work, three-deminsional work, and photography.
The YMCA is hosting the student art in the two-dimensional category, while the Brewton Public Library has the three-dimensional and photography on display.
Walker said the displays will be up and available for viewing through
April 7 during operating hours of the YMCA and the Library.
“We will select winners of the categories in April,” Walker said. “Those winners will be awarded their prizes at a reception held in their honor during April.”
