A group of area residents have completed their studies in managing diabetes, thanks to classes offered by D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton.
A recent graduation ceremony was held to honor their accomplishments.
Shown following their graduation (above) are Joe Lane, Angela Lane, Kara Graves, Cathy Bailey, Danny Bailey, Cordell Lawson, and Sylvia Baldwin.
The classes are held at D.W. McMillan Hospital. The class started in January and went through the first of March for a total of six classes.
Attendees don’t have to have diabetes to attend the classes, but who have a desire to learn more about diabetes, prediabetes, blood pressure or cholesterol. Those who attend may have diabetes, have a family member or friend with diabetes or simply a family history and just desire to know more.
