Benjamin to speak at ‘Legacy Lecture’

For the second year, the Coastal Alabama Community College Historical Society will be presenting their Legacy Lecture event set for April 23 on the Brewton campus.
This year, the featured speaker for the second annual Legacy Lecture features East Brewton native Nick Benjamin.
Benjamin currently serves as a Payload Operations Director at NASA, where he manages and directs the 24/7 science operations aboard the International Space Station (ISS). In this critical role, he acts as the single point of authority to the Space Station Flight Director at Johnson Space Flight Center. Benjamin will share his own experiences and lessons in leadership in an engaging lecture that celebrates our community’s contributions to the broader world.
Benjamin is a 2003 graduate of W.S. Neal High School in East Brewton where he served as the Blue Eagles’ quarterback on the football field. He also excelled both academically and athletically at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, La. He earned a master’s degree from Florida Institute of Technology.
The Coastal Alabama Historical Society is a student organization located on the Brewton campus of Coastal Alabama Community College.
The Inaugural Legacy Lecture featured retired combat veteran Victor Everett who served in Iraq.
The Coastal Alabama Historical Society (CAHS) would like to invite the community to this free event. Handicap parking is provided in front of the Neal Colonial Center.
