Hundreds of eager hunters gathered Saturday morning at Dogwood Hills Park in Brewton to search for hidden eggs hoping to snatch a prize.
Hosted by the City of Brewton and the Event and Entertainment Committee, the Egg-Citing Egg Hunt drew a record number of hunters in all age categories.
Prizes were hidden among the more than 2,000 eggs hidden in the park and were presented to those who found the specially marked eggs.
In addition to baskets of goodies for children who found prizes, there were also specially prepared baskets containing coveted contents for adults in the hunt.
The Easter Bunny also made a special appearance during the event to greet hunters. A special photo opportunity provided plenty of smiles for the camera.
At the end of the hunt, those who attended were treated to a quick lunch of fresthly-grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, thanks to the hot work of members of the Brewton Fire Department.
Over the past eight years, the event has continued to draw larger and larger crowds, with the 2025 hunt drawing the largest crowd so far.
