The American Legion, Post 79, will be holding their annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday beginning at 9 a.m.
The group holds the annual recognition ceremony honoring the men and women from Escambia County who were lost in service.
The roll call of deceased county veterans will be conducted by Charles Jackson, a member of the post.
As is customary, display tables will be available for those surviving family members to display their loved one’s memorabilia. All items will be available for pick up following the service.
The playing of taps and the raising and lowering of the flag will begin the ceremony followed by the National Anthem and other musical selections by members of the group.
The event will be held near the Memorial area on the lawn of the Escambia County Courthouse on Belleville Avenue in Brewton.
Members invite the public to the ceremony that honors our county’s heroic soldiers who gave all.
