Habitat to host Zombie Walk Oct. 30

Zombies will be arriving in Brewton at Dogwood Hills Park to benefit the Escambia County Habitat for Humanity on Oct. 30.

Shae Hines, executive director for ECHFH, said the event is being held to help raise needed funds for home building projects planned in Flomaton and Atmore in the coming months.

“We are planning a fun event,” Hines said. “All activities in the fall-festival style event will begin at 4 p.m. and go until 7 p.m.”

Hines said a Trunk-or-Treat will be held at 4 p.m. to kick off the events.

“We have two bands that will be donating their talents and time to entertain during the event,” Hines said. “The Brown Barnes Band and The Redfield will be playing from 4 to 6 p.m.”

Sponsorships are available through Oct. 1 and vendor space is available through Oct. 15 for $25 per space, Hines said.

Registration for the walk, which begins at 6 p.m., will be held through starting time for the event. Registration is $10 for students 18 and under for the walk and for the costume contest. Adult registration is $15 for the walk or $20 for a walk/custom contest combo.

Registration forms are available at the Habitat Restore on Douglas Avenue or call ECHFH at 867-0095.
