Emerald Coast Golf Tour coming to CCB
After being scheduled for April 14-17 and getting cancelled, the Emerald Coast Golf Tour will come to the Country Club of Brewton Mon., July 20 through Thurs., July 23.
Here is a schedule of events for the tour:
Mon., July 20:
Practice round for all players at the Country Club of Brewton.
Tues., July 21:
This will also be the first round of play for the professionals. Tee times will begin at 9:30 a.m. There will be a free junior clinic for kids from 4 to 5 p.m. on the driving range. The Pro Am kickoff party will be at 6:30 p.m. for all players, sponsors and their guests at the CCB clubhouse.
Wed., July 22:
This will be the Pro Am day for amateurs and professionals. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start will begin at 1 p.m. This will also be the second round of play for the professionals. The Pro Am awards party will be in the clubhouse after play.
Thurs., July 23:
This will be the final round of play for the professionals. The prize presentation will be in the clubhouse after play with the winners.
The format of the tour will be two amateurs receiving 80 percent of their best balls of the four with handicap.
An entry fee of $100 will be administered for the Pro Am event. This will include a round of golf with the professional and a kickoff party and lunch and awards party at the club. The professional entry fee is $675 for ECGT members and $800 for non-members. The tournament will pay a minimum of 36-38 percent of the field.
