The No.10-ranked T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball improved to 5-0 Thursday at home as they knocked off Flomaton 3-1.
T.R. Miller won 25-16, 25-17 in games one and two before blowing a late lead in game three and falling 25-27. In game four, T.R. Miller won 25-18 to take the match.
“We always have good matches with Flomaton,” T.R. Miller Lady Tiger head volleyball head coach Greg White said. “The last four or five years everyone of them has gone back-and-forth. They have won some and we have won some. We are two evenly matched teams and in the first two games, I thought we were the more aggressive team. We kind of took it to them and had a lot of kills in the first two games. In game three, we kind of play defensive. We had to play more defense and they had to play more offense. We still had a chance to win and was up six points with a point to go and we don’t finish it off. I give them credit for that. In game four, we came back and got back to doing like we did in the first two games and became more aggressive and that was the difference in the end. It was a good win and nice to stay undefeated. We have a tough area tri-match on Monday with Clarke County and (No. 1) Bayside. We will come back to work on Sunday and see what happens on Monday.”
