TRM likely to get Greensboro in first round of playoffs

Hello Brewton area sports fan.
As I write this blog on a Wednesday afternoon, the weather is getting a little chilly and will be pretty cold tonight as we will dip into the 30s for the first time this year.
The cool weather is getting here just in time as football season is almost at the end of the regular season. My how the season has flew by this year.
We are heading into week nine this week with T.R. Miller (6-2) heading to Montgomery Catholic and W.S. Neal (1-7) playing at home against Saraland. Next week is the big game in the area as the Battle of Murder Creek will be upon us. I can’t wait!
Following the Battle of Murder Creek, the playoffs will begin and as things look right now, T.R. Miller has solidified themselves as the No. 2 seed in region 1 behind Bayside Academy and will host a first round game against region 4’s No. 3 seed. That looks to be the Greensboro Raiders. Right now, the Raiders are 5-3 overall and 4-1 in region play and will play Gordo this week and will have a bye week in the final week of the season. If things hold up and T.R. Miller and Greensboro hook up in round one, I would not be surprised to see some Greensboro coaches in East Brewton that Friday night scouting the Tigers of Brewton.
T.R. Miller and Greensboro have only met three times with T.R. Miller owning a 2-1 record but losing the last meeting in 1997.

Well, I hope you have a great rest of your day and week this week. Don’t forget to bundle up tonight.
Until we meet again here or out in the world of sports, God bless!
