ASCC sweeps JDCC baseball Tuesday 4-0 and 3-1

Facing off against conference rival Alabama Southern Tuesday at home, the Jefferson Davis Warhawk baseball team was swept by the visiting Eagles.
The Warhawks lost game one 4-0 and game two 3-1 to fall to 9-15 overall and to 2-8 in conference play. It was the fourth straight loss for the Warhawks.
In game one, JDCC was held scoreless and to only four hits.
Andrew Tindell was 1-for-2 for JDCC while Logan Hill was 1-for-3 with a triple. Wes Dickey and Kyle Freeman were both 1-for-2.
Michael Yarborough took the loss on the mound for JDCC as he went six innings and allowed six hits, four earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
Joey Scapecchi went the final inning and struck out one.
In game two, JDCC managed five hits, but was held to one run in a 3-1 loss. JDCC made three errors in the loss.
At the plate, Alex Jones was 1-for-1, Dillan Schaniel was 2-for-3, while Freeman and Trae Walsingham were both 1-for-3. Hill had the lone RBI.
Tyler Howell took the loss on the mound going six innings and allowed five hits, three runs, one earned, walked one and struck out two.
Tyler Henry went the final inning and walked one.
