Relay support appreciated

I’m writing this letter to extend humble gratitude to this city for the overwhelming support people have given as teams work to raise money for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.
This cause is more than just worthy; it strikes to the heart of nearly everyone I have met due to the nature of this disease.
While fighting illness or watching a loved one battle cancer can leave us feeling hopeless, joining in efforts like Relay revives hope and gives comfort, which is very Christlike indeed. The heart-warming support of our brothers and sisters in faith in other denominations has been clearly demonstrated time and again in events like Relay. I witnessed churches helping each other, and opposing teams joining to support a wonderful cause.
As chairwoman of the Methodist Monks, I’d like to thank David’s Catfish, local ministers, local attorneys and the many who purchased tickets for our recent celebrity steak dinner. Thank you is hardly adequate for the support we have enjoyed, and yet, helping in itself is a blessing for those who put forth time, effort and ability for the benefit of others.
Thanks Brewton!
