For motorcycle and car enthusiasts, Saturday will be a banner day.
The Motivators for Christ motorcycle club will be sponsoring a show on the grounds of the 30th annual Blueberry Festival at Burnt Corn Park beginning at 9 a.m.
According to organizers, trophies in categories of best of show, most unique, best artwork and best sports bike will be presented at noon. A benefit ride will begin at 12:30 p.m. with lineup near the Bank of Brewton mini-branch, adjacent to the park.
There is no charge for the ride, however donations to benefit Austin Collins, a heart transplant patient, will be accepted. The ride will leave Brewton and head south to Berrydale Crossroads. The ride will then continue through Century, Fla., and Flomaton ending at the Blueberry Festival grounds.
For those who prefer the sleek lines of antique cars, a special car show is also being planned for Saturday’s event as well.
Sam Archer and Glen Freeman are organizing the event set from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Trophies in several categories will be award at the close of the event. A registration fee of $25 is required for each entry.
For additional information on the car show, contact Archer at (850) 937-8894; Freeman at 867-4781 or the Brewton Chamber of Commerce at 867-3224.
Those interested in participating in the motorcycle show or ride should bring their motorcycles to the site and be lined up for the ride at the announced time.
