Mrs. Marjorie Peebles Quimby, 83, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 in a Montgomery nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native and long time resident of Escambia County, before moving to Montgomery in 1976. She was a member of Frazier Memorial Methodist Church in Montgomery and a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Martha Sims Jinright and Rene Sims Pasley, both of Montgomery, and Mona Sims Webster of Tallassee; and four grandchildren, Bo Jinright, Megan Pasley, Macy Walker and Rachel Rump.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 29, at 10 a.m. at Green Acres Cemetery with the Rev. Rhon Carleton officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
