Brewton to play Opp Tuesday in LL All-Stars

Brewton’s District 5 Little League 11- and 12-year-old All Stars beat Evergreen Monday night, earning a chance to play Opp today at 7 p.m.

Brewton must beat Opp twice to win the championship.

Monday’s game included a three-run homer by Ethan Tyree in the third inning, giving Brewton a 9-1 lead. Brewton went on to win 20-5.

If Brewton wins Tuesday’s game, they have to beat Opp again Wednesday in the deciding championship game.

Brewton beat Escambia County Sunday, 10-7.

Brewton’s 11-12 all stars include: Brooks Brown, Jared Cooper, Trippe Floyd, Tyler Hoomes, Jonathon Lucas, Timothy McDonald, Jake Najor, Ethan Tyree, Kellyn Winn, and Grant Youngblood.

The 2010 Escambia County 11- and 12-year-old All Stars — made up of players from East Brewton and Flomaton — include: Dalton Shell, Lane Chavers, Matt Ledford, Malcolm Hawthorne, Josh Fields, Kainoa and Kevin Gumapac, Colton Morris, Dakota Graves, TyShawn Davis, Connor White, and Hayden Hammond.
